Welcome to this new website dedicated to the topic of food education in schools. The aim of this site is to bring a much needed focus to the wide range of issues, questions, resources and organisations related to teaching children about food in school.

This site will be a celebration of the people bringing the joy of cooking, growing, eating and vast world of food knowledge to children. Despite what the media reports, many children do get to experience food education in schools thanks largely to the dedication of the third sector and volunteers.

Additionally, this site will include summaries of peer reviewed, published research to share insights and findings, alongside academic and mainstream book reviews, and exploration of the policy history and evolution taking place in the UK and beyond. There is much to talk about!
